Dark Desires- A Poem

Dark Desires

Nocturnal you stalk my very being. Your presence haunts my senses as they come alive, as you brush against my soul. Your lust burning into every fiber of my body. Staring into your eyes, I sense infinite wisdom, ancient knowledge long gone, and the need of carnal love.

Dark callings tempt me into your arms. Oh how I need your sensual whispers in my ear again. Your desires leading me into the shadows, your beckoning grasps my heart, and my soul is soon to follow. How far can this lead in its winding path of uncertainty? When will our paths unite in this vast uncaring world? Questions of sanity lurks in the deepest of the corners of my mind. Your love is maddening, addicting in its mystery, and concealment.

Twilight is upon me as I must choose between the rational and irrational for if I choose to go into the night forever shall I abide there. A captive to your every desire. Forever, shall I be a slave to your love and lust.

I take your hand as I chose the eternal dark to forever be by your side. My love for you more so than that of the light. I plunge myself into your arms as I say good bye to the day and in your passionate embrace shall I live. For what redemption lays ahead for me in the chaotic discord?

For how long have I waited to be in your arms? From the first whispers in my ear to the sweet touch of your hand across my face. Now I am home, no longer lost in the blinding daylight. Bonded we are in the night, enthralled by its cold entrapment and desolate eternal wasteland.

Its pitiless sands blow against ancient ruins of old. As if designed by Eris herself, there is no rhyme or reason to the madness. The stars above like deadlights gleam down as storm clouds brew in the distance. Lightening strikes clash on the horizon as we throw ourselves to our jointed fate.

Fallen Babel once again arises as you grip my hand. Centuries old myth comes to play. Your fiery intentions ravage my very being but yet dark devotion seeds itself in my heart. As past becomes new, we become one, destiny intertwined, and revelations sealed.

The Sacrifice-A Poem

The night cold and damp illuminated by moonlight
the rustling of long dead leaves accompany the
loud whistling of the wind through the frail branches
of the forest of dead trees.

Chanting of words eons dead, now alive dancing on
mans tongue to be released unto the world once again.
If only for this night only, resurrection is possible.
robes and seances make up the odd site of the ancient
rites, a light with the fierce fires of the citadels that align in
fascinating details as if to replicate the black stars overhead.

An overwhelming fear, a fluttering of my heart, and
the crying in my mind. My destiny lies before me as
the cold slab of rock is completely under me. As I stare into
the abyss, I wonder what Arcane magic will unleash unto the
Earth. As dimensions collide, long forgotten beings return,
and claim what was theirs. As the knife plunges into my chest,
the portal has opened, and the gates are unlocked. The stars are
once again right.

In Lost Carcosa

This poem was inspired by The King in Yellow by Robert W. Chambers

I walk among the path of broken stones
Of ancient runes once tall and bright.
The sighing of the wind blows through
Dead trees that grows no more
A dead city in a vast wasteland
Of tall grass and protruding rocks.
A dark fascination takes hold of me
Gripping me into the heart of darkness
And pulling me closer to a ruined
Building with a crumbling dome.
My heart flutters in my chest, my breath
Catches as I draw closer. The entrance arched
I enter. O what beauty that was here but now dissipated
In centuries past. Faint chants of rituals ring in the stale air
As I approach a throne of arcane powers. Resting on
The mighty chair, lies the slumbering King of yellow cloths his
Face forever wrapped. Destiny will once again awaken the
Mighty King from his death like sleep.

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog, a place where I will share short stories, and poems that I write. Most of my writings are inspired by the writings of HP Lovecraft and will mainly feature my favorite entity from the Lovecraft universe, Hastur the Unspeakable One.

I got into HP Lovecraft a little late in my life, I had read a lot of Stephen King growing up, and it was through his writings that I stumbled upon Lovecraft. I've always been the one to be attracted to the world that is hidden from us, to discover what is behind the veil, and the need to fully understand this world. I've felt like many other people that there is more to this world than what has been told to us. It is this drive for truth that I found Lovecraft's writings and Mythos most intriguing. Not that I take the stories as fact but that in the work of fictions it provides inspiration and a continued drive for what is out there.

As a writer, I am rather new to writing so bare with me as I am learning as I go. Most of my stories will feature Hastur the Unspeakable, since he is my favorite entity within the Cthulhu Mythos. I like to think of Hastur as a neutral force neither good nor evil. A force that can be both depending on the situation.

Welcome again to the blog, I hope you enjoy my stories, and please leave feedback so I can improve myself as a writer. Thank you!
